Seeding Success partners with local high schools for FAFSA completion campaign

Seeding Success is teaming up with six local schools to provide hands on assistance to help increase the number of students who complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

Seeding Success data analysts will work alongside school counselors, principals and teachers to help identify graduating students who may need assistance starting or completing the FAFSA forms.

Analysts will meet with the schools once a week to help map out an action plan, and to help guide students though the application process when needed.

As a part of the awareness campaign FAFSAMemphis, Seeding Success hopes its efforts on the ground floor help improve FAFSA Completion rates throughout Shelby County.

Last year, FAFSAMemphis helped improve FAFSA completion from 60 percent to 88 percent county-wide.

The FAFSA is the largest provider of student financial aid in the nation and determines all federal grant and loan awards.
