Celebrating One Year- A Recap
Last Thursday we had the privilege of celebrating our one year anniversary with old friends and new faces at Crosstown Arts. We were so excited to share our most recent short animation video that explains our work and unveil our new website, as well as honor the dedicated work of our CAN members this year. We heard from CAN partners Courtney Robertson from Knowledge Quest, David Jordan from Agape, and Cecelia Johnson-Powell from MIFA on their experiences as a partner with Seeding Success. They did a wonderful job and we are grateful for their willingness to speak and the sincere support that they have shown.
As we blaze forward into a new school year, we are determined and eager to get back to work improving outcomes for the children of Shelby County. As a part of the continuous improvement process that we are dedicated to, we must reflect and repeat the cycle. That is why it is so critical to celebrate our hard work and successes as well as lessons learned. We hope this event served as inspiration for our partners to begin the school year fired up for the critical work ahead. Executive Director Mark Sturgis leaves us with this thought on the event,
“We are really grateful to our partners and the work that has been happening to collaborate using data to improve student outcomes. We are particularly excited to include new organizations as we broaden our reach and our impact. Now let’s get back to work!”
