TN Promise FAFSA Deadline!

Today is the last day students can submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) in order to remain eligible for the TN Promise scholarship.

Students must submit the forms by midnight tonight in order to take part in the last-dollar scholarship to any any of the state’s 13 community colleges, 27 colleges of applied technology, or other eligible institution offering an associate’s degree program.

As of February 12, 47 percent (4,516) of all Shelby County seniors have completed the FAFSA.

Seeding Success partners with local high schools for FAFSA completion campaign

Seeding Success is teaming up with six local schools to provide hands on assistance to help increase the number of students who complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

Seeding Success data analysts will work alongside school counselors, principals and teachers to help identify graduating students who may need assistance starting or completing the FAFSA forms.

Analysts will meet with the schools once a week to help map out an action plan, and to help guide students though the application ….

2016 FAFSAMemphis Kickoff Event!

Carver High School students helped kick off the 2016 FAFSAMemphis campaign yesterday, January 7, in a crowded auditorium complete with cheerleaders, the school color guard, and Shelby County Mayor Mark Luttrell.

The event, put together by Memphis Talent Dividend, an initiative of Leadership Memphis, was the official launch of a county-wide effort to increase FAFSA completion among high school graduates.
